Welcome to the Wallkill Fire District Website
Serving our Community since 1903

The Wallkill Hook, Ladder and Hose Company was formed in 1902 as a volunteer department. Over 100 years later, we still remain 100% volunteer!

The Wallkill Hook, Ladder and Hose Company responds to fire and emergency calls twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, fifty-two weeks a year. The well-trained and dedicated members of our fire department continue to SELFLESSLY and VOLUNTARILY serve the community in a professional manner!

The department currently has over 60 active volunteers and responds to an average of 200 calls per year. We are located at 18 Central Avenue in Wallkill, NY.

Our Mission

To organize a group of well trained, able bodied men and women, who would work for the common good in combating fires and other types of emergencies in our community with the dedication to the preservation of life and property.
